Cosmetics and Building:

After the paint had hardened I brought the bike back to the city piece by piece and started the rebuild in my apartment bedroom. It is amazing how a scooter can be stuffed in closets, part by part, and almost disappear.

This is the only way to build a bike...stereo, heater, and a carpet to sit on! Every nut and bolt was bought new and tightened with great care not to scratch the new paint work. When it was all done I got some friends round and we lifted it (carefully) down the stairs to the street to add gas, oil, and the battery. I'd like to say it started first kick, but it had not had any gas in the engine for years. Once the gas was flowing it started right up.
