Stripping and paint:
More parts can come off a Lambretta than you would ever think by looking at it. I had a total of over 30 parts to sand prime and paint. This was in my younger years and I decided I would save money and do all the prep work myself with only a sanding block - bad move. Hundreds of sheets of sandpaper and raw finger on both hands got me to the picture above...ready for priming.
I rented a sprayer from a local equipment rental shop and started on laying down a 2 pack paint system. I had never painted before and messed up some surfaces with dust from my clothing but the overall look was pretty decent. I also tried to do a 2 tone color on the panels and found it to be very hard to get a nice tight line.
