Cosa Clutch

Vespa finally replaced the P200 clutch design after close to 20 years of use. The Cosa clutch is a new design using 8 smaller central springs instead of 7 perimeter springs. These are a direct replacement for P-series clutches and are much easier to use, require less force to disengage, and are much smoother.

Below are some interesting shots of a disassembled Cosa clutch with a P200 below that for reference. The Cosa drive bell is very different with a much larger central area. The drive plate is also very different as seen below to the right. Plates are similar but have a larger internal diameter opening and engaging teeth on the Cosa clutch.
